Marios Theocharopoulos

Marios is a social scientist with strong interest in consumer psychology, behavioural sciences and environmental psychology.

With extensive experience in statistical modelling and research design, his current role utilises both quantitative and qualitative methods to understand human behaviour regarding plant/tree health and biosecurity, land management, and wellbeing.

He combines a range of perspectives from policy, science and practice including psychology, social research, and economics to understand behaviour, using these insights to create behavioural change, along with understanding and navigating the uncertainties and complexities surrounding treescape management and the wider environment. 

 

Furthermore, Marios endeavours to promote the importance of Wellbeing and Mental Health in everyday life. After years of academic study in Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), he has worked at the NHS (Scotland), Wellbeing Scotland, The Centre of Therapy and Counselling Studies (Scotland), TD1 Youth Hub (Scotland) and the University of Ioannina Psychiatric Clinic (Greece) to deliver individual and group sessions..
